AFTER MONTHS OF speculation, Enda Kenny has announced that he will step down as leader of Fine Gael at midnight tonight.
He’s to stay on as Taoiseach until a new leader is elected, but we want to take the time to reflect on his years in office, and how we will remember them.
1. That time he chased a goose

Probably the first image that springs to mind, really, when you think of Enda Kenny.
2. And rocked out at Bruce
Chasing a goose, rocking out at Bruce… Hey, that rhymes!

Say what you want about Enda, but he found the pose he liked and he committed to that pose.
4. The Obama handshake fakeout

Just checking his nails.
5. And the time he got a pic with Hulk Hogan in an airport
Note that he’s pointing at Hogan.
6. His beloved Blokia
Enda’s Nokia 6310 stuck with him until 2013, when it fell into the sink. But he loved it so:

7. His fondness for dogs and definite understanding of how to pet them
8. “The man with two pints in his hand”

In 2015, as debate over Irish Water raged on, Kenny told the Dáil about a man who approached him to say he couldn’t afford the charges:
To this day, we wonder about that man and his abnormally large hands.
9. The time he sought to inform Micheál Martin that he had dropped some paper on the ground

The teacher in him walked out.
10. And every time he dad danced
He was never afraid of it. May our next Taoiseach be even more prone to busting a move. So long, Enda!
